am so glad I found Lance. I was arrested for shoplifting on a business trip to NYC. This was a terrible experience and I was extremely concerned about the consequences. I am a UK resident and I was particularly concerned about having to return to NYC for the court hearing (from the perspective of complications to get through immigration the fear of potentially going to jail and also the costs involved). I had initially contacted another law firm in NYC who was going to charge a lot more to take my case and the information that I was given by this lawfirm was quite vague and not particularly reassuring. I was arraigned on a shoplifting charge in Manhattan NY Supreme Court. Despite the ridiculous amount involved this could mean some jail time because of my previous conviction. Actually I was not even involved this time and they bagged me up together with my pal who was responsible. As you know in NYC criminal history means "guilty". My court appointed NY criminal defense lawyer was convincing me to take a plea for a 2 flat sentence. I was even prepared to go Upstate when my sister asked Nicholas Wooldridge from Bukh Law Firm to go to Rikers Island for a consultation.
